Introduction to PROFINET for End-Users and Device Developers
PROFINET is the open, manufacturer-independent industrial Ethernet standard for manufacturing and process automation.
With its scalable communication, it offers the highest performance and flexibility
and meets all requirements for the use of Ethernet in industrial automation.
The PROFINET standard (IEC 61158 / IEC 61784) enables rapid implementation of the communication protocol in field devices.
Therefore, PI would like to support the product range to be developed by numerous manufacturers in a timely manner in order to make implementation simple and efficient for all companies.
This webinar targets all PROFINET End-users, device developers and manufacturers!
This sessions will cover the basics of PROFINET, including data handling and network planning. Key topics include PROFIsafe, PROFIdrive, and PROFIenergy profiles, with insights into SRCI and security classes like GSD-signing. We’ll also explore device certification management and conduct a live demo on diagnostics and tools.
